Halloween 2010 Fun!

Halloween week started like this:

Tater wore her Halloween shirt to dance class on Monday and Wednesday was the party so she had to be a kitty. Wyler is just cute:)

Friday was pumpkin carving day during Wyler's nap. Jared carved both Wyler & Mater's but I didn't get a pic of Wyler's bull rider before it broke in the car:( I didn't finish mine with the studio logo, it's still on the kitchen counter. Do you think it'll last till next year? j/k (note Jared's head, he shaved his head to get a guy at work to stop smoking...& he thinks he's going bald)

Grandma Heather & Papa Tate came for the day, and brought cupcakes!!! They were sooo good!

Originally Tater was suppose to be Shirley Temple but after hours of Internet searching I've decided I'll need a summer to make my own masterpiece so this year Sleeping Beauty was the choice. Wyler is the cutest Bull Rider ever!!! He reminds me of Lane Frost's friend on 8 seconds. Tuff Headman.

We first went to G.Grandma Rea & G.Papa Fred's house Trick-or-Treating. They get their own special bag full of goodies. Then we headed to the Ward Trunk-or-Treat. Heather made Creamy Potato soup for me to take which was gone by the end of the night. Thanks Heather! The food was good! It rained so the Trunk-or-Treat was turned into a Gym-or-Treat. Super fast way to fill the bags! They did still judge the trunks and once again we won Scariest. Yea for Jared and Tate who I assigned the job to.:) But sadly no pics.
The night ended with a go around the block. Tater & Marcus encountered one house which was too scary for them to walk up and ring the bell. Marcus said he'd do it next year. I remember Bryant's house being sooo scary, but the candy always gave me the courage to go, man it's sad how motivated by food I am.
Hope You Had a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I'm not sure if today was a good day or a bad day...I guess a little of both. The Tater and I are sick and I know Wy Wy and Jared will be this weekend. But luckily for me I have awesome teachers and a great mom and husband who help me out. It was a bumpy day with lots of people who smoothed things out for me. There were times when Tater bug was super whiny...then the medicine kicks in and she is her hilarious self. Wyler and Tater played so well together tonight. My mom always comes to the rescue and her and Sarah brought me like 10 gallons of distilled water for my 10 humidifiers. Jared runs to pick up cough drops and medicine. My teachers are great and ran classes. I had a break down because one of my little dancers is moving and today was her last day. I barely made it there in time to say goodbye and of course I cried. So not only did I look terrible cause I'm sick I looked like I had been crying for a month! She is such a cute girl I hope she keeps dancing. So I'm just so grateful for all the amazing people in my life who sends texts to make sure I'm OK and run to the store and keep it all together for me. I love you all! Thanks!

Parties & Stuff

Last Saturday Tater and I had our combined "Princess Party". Yes the party was for me also because you know I'm a princess. (JK) The party wasn't suppose to happen because of My uncle's wedding and Jared's long wall move, but the move was pushed back so the party was on!! I got it ready in a week so sorry if some of ya didn't get the invite in time. Here's what happened!
Making The Oreo Balls/with the flowers & dance outfit from G.Heather

The 4Th for Tater's bday we went to Cold Stone with my friends Kaylynne & Autumn. (It was Autumn's bday as well). Then we took treats to her dance class and because I can't figure out my machine I made a bday Leo & shirt with Iron on Rhinestones. Did them both in like 1/2 hour. So...not my best work but it was good. I also made them so she can wear them next year! Her shirt has a crown and says "birthday princess". The Treats are sooo easy and yummy! Just a package of Oreo's mashed up, cream cheese, & melted chocolate. We died the white chocolate pink because Tatum is Pinkalicious! (Next year's Party) The rings are in preparation for the Saturday Princess Party. We gave out the Wand Invites that Kelly made. Super cute! Thanks Kelly!I had Deborah come and do glitter toes on everyone, Glamor Toes did such a great job!

While we waited for everyone to come the girls made wands. I had some of my awesome dancers come and help. I had the older ones dress up as Cinderella, Bell Odette and Snow White. Brett who is also one of my dancers (an awesome one too) was "Prince Charming".

We played "Poison Apple", "Pin the Kiss on the Frog" and the "fairy Godmother" told the story of Cinderella and gave Tater a pumpkin.

Tater blew out her candles on her melting cake then we opened presents.

Some really "enchanted people were in attendance! The Queen of England, A Knight in Shining Armor and Maleficent!

Tatums first day!

Wednesday was Tatum's first day of dance class. She and I were so excited. We had matching hair & daddy brought her to class. They have been practicing their skipping all summer. Dad took a lot of pictures! I have narrowed it down to my favorites. (ones that do not have me pulling some kind of weird face:) Tatum was a good girl, she listened, kept her hands on her hips, clapped for her friends, and sat criss cross apple sauce when she was suppose to. We talked to her about being good and nice to all the girls and she said," I will I PROMISE". Thats her response to everything these days. I'm very proud and I'm sure she will get sassy later on and test my boundaries but for now she was great!
Wyler was there too and grandma came to watch!
The girls colored pictures while we waited for everyone, then we went over rules and warmed up.
We "painted our toes" , Practiced "Princes Walks", and Skipping. Not pictured are "Gallops", "Bunny Hops", and "Dino Marches".

"Rollie Pollies" and "Forward Rolls".

We ended with the "Bear Hunt".

I'm glad she gets to take class with Clair, I think they'll be good friends!

Warning! Super Long & Pic Overload!!

Here's a couple of events for the Tatton Fam. Things that make the summer go by way to quickly!

The month started off with the CHS Jr. Drill Camp. Tater isn't technically old enough, but I teach them ballet so, hey! I was a little scared she'd be hard to handle but she loved it!! All 2 hours both days! She kept wanting to go back & she loved the girls in charge of her group. I was impressed with them. Those little ones are hard to handle but they kept smiles on and the energy up! The first pic is of Tater giving me a "thumbs up"! She was doing all the time. Of course MY daughter is the one waving & saying hi to mom even when I'm telling the dancers not to do it. HAHA

Madison did awesome & the drill girls love her. The last day Tater & Madison wore matching Jo&Jax outfits and mo-hawks!
Thanks Girls!

We had family pics on the 6th and the next day we had plans to go swimming but it rained so we went to the Dino Museum instead! This is tater aka "poser" with some of the imprints that Jared finds at work all the time. He's brought some that have fallen & broken home. It's pretty cool that he can look up and see where a Dino has walked above him.
Tatum loved having all the cousins around for the whole weekend.
We looked for great-grandpa's petrified log but couldn't find. I wonder if we can get it from the museum if they aren't displaying it.
The 7th was also my 10 year reunion. Lots of mixed feeling about this but the best part was skipping the reunion dinner and having my own reunion dinner with Tiffany and Kaylynne at Groggs. We laughed and had a good time! It was good to catch up with them. So Tiff start blogging!! After we went to see if anyone we wanted to see was at the reunion. There were but you couldn't see them or hear or walk around. It was held at the Silver Dollar and it was way too small. The music was to loud and everyone was too drunk to even remember I walked in and walked out. Really? Married girls freakin with ex boyfriends on the dance floor? We had our very own Snookie there, that was fun. Ok enough, The 20 will be better right?
We went camping with Jared's family for a week in Colorado.
There was fishing & Tater caught her first fish! I caught 2 but it was Wyler's poll.
We had crafts & the girls painted the cousin's names and Kate glued them on a "log table". Tatum painted Calvin's in camo. We saw lots of deer and Jared, Wyler and I saw a BEAR! Of course we didn't have the camera. I saw it and it was standing up by a tree and looked around at us. I freaked out and made Jared drive away. We watched in jog across the road.
We spent a day at the Black Canyon. It was cool and Jared spent the day like this, packing the kids around.
We bought this four wheeler from one of Jared's friends for a good deal. They loved it! Tatum even got a pick helmet with white hibiscus flowers. I think next year Wyler will be on it ALL the time!
We stopped at Heather's for a night before heading home and it poured! So the kids played. OK, can Tatum take a normal pic?
Next up is Bountiful fun! The kids and I went to Bountiful to go to the Davis County Fair. I didn't have my camera but I'm sure Elisa & Sarah with blog about it. Tatum loved the rides and surprisingly Wyler did too! He road the cars and boats with Marcus. Marcus was such a good guy and looked after the little ones. He spent the night in the bouncers with Tatum. The next day we went swimming at the rec. center. Tons of Fun! Thanks Elisa for having us!

I can't get this pic off!! I accidentally uploaded it and it won't go away!! You've already seen it! Sorry!

July events

So, July is always packed with tons of fun things to do. There's the 4Th, the 24Th, International Days, Dance Attack, Soren's Baby Blessing, Camping & Mine Rescue Competitions. So I guess I'll Go in order...

The 4Th was spent at the cabin as usual, with fishing, Pleasant Valley Days, Papa's B-day, fireworks & food. (and loss of sleep). I love the cabin & love having all the siblings and their kids there. I know they fight & drama happens, but hey, the good times win out.

Soren's Baby Blessing, Dance Attack & Mine Rescue Comp. (18Th, 19Th, 20Th & 21st). We went to Bountiful for little Soren's blessing. Darin always does a wonderful job & I love hearing Elisa's testimony. I really look up to her & she teaches me a lot. I hope I can one day be a spiritual giant like her. (really Elisa, you are.) The food was great & the people were great! Darrin's family is so nice. I just can't believe how old Cristin's kids are! Cute! Soren was an angel and slept the whole time. What a good guy!

We then drove home & the next day Jared took the kids to Grand Junction to spend the week with Grandma Heather & Ella. Kate & Tate were there too. Jared had to go to Delta Colorado for the mine rescue comp & I went to Park City for Dance Attack. I had a ton of fun! We went to the Alpine Slide & saw crazy HUGE rodents running all over the slides. I also took a floor bar class from Jackie Ford. It was awesome! I have NEVER used so many muscles at the same time & worked my turnout. So good! I learned so much! I took the class with Jazz III & Jazz IV I would have taken more but no time! The girls did great & I like talking with my old dancers and dance moms from the Winner School.

I then drove to Grand Junction picked up the kids and went to Delta to go to the awards banquet with Jared. He took 3rd in the Bio Marine 240 S category. Don't ask, I can't explain, He got a sweet trophy with fish and bugs on it. :) We were so proud & Tatum loved the trophy.

So lots of driving but totally worth it. And it wasn't' as hard to leave my kids as it was the last time.

The 24Th. We spent the 24Th in Wellington at Pioneer Days. The parade had TONS of candy. We watched it with Fred & Rea & John's family. Kate, Tate & Heather came up and made Tatum's day. I also had some dancers perform at the park & they did a great job. That night we set off fireworks with the Bedonts. Their dad is the fire marshal and some people were setting of Illegal fireworks just a street over. We kept joking saying that he should go confiscate them so we could set them off. We had an Encore performance the next night at our house & the Frame's came over. Tatum loves their girls who are 11 & 10ish. They are so good to her. My mom says she's 2 going on 12. So true, she is always with the older kids & loves Madison. (the meltdowns when Madison leaves is another blog).

International Days, 31st. We start off with practices all week for the performance at the park. Then decorated the Float on Friday. It was so much easier this year since we finally knew what we were doing. Thanks mom for getting the Festooning. (My new favorite word) The parade Saturday went well but we never have enough candy to last the whole parade. So, my apologies to everyone from the middle to the end. Next year I'll ask each dancer to bring 3 huge bags of candy. I actually danced in the parade this year. Ha ha it was funny. So hot! July 31st is now National Dance Day & Tabatha & Napoleon aka Nabby Tabbs from SYTYCD choreographed a National Dance that you can learn off the Internet. We did and used it for our parade routine. I had fun but I'm sure I looked silly. the performance at the park was good and we ended with the Nabby Tabbs routine. CHS & EHS drill teams along with Dance Technica joined us. It was the crowds favorite. I'm glad we did it.
Tatum had fun riding the rides & eating nothing but junk! She was a good girl. Can you believe next year Tater will be dancing!! Wyler just loves being with his papa even if the dragster was loud.

I'm looking forward to this month doing nothing but cleaning & getting ready for the dance season to start.
