Tis the Season....to be SICK!

This weekend was just a little crazy. Thanksgiving was loads of fun and I even made a good green bead casserole. But Tatum got sick on Sunday night. She had a cough on Saturday and by Sunday afternoon she refused to eat and just moaned. I decided to take her to the emergency room when she started making the same noises that Dianna's little sister made when she had the croup on Anne of Green Gables. It breaks my heart to think about it. We found out that Tatum had RSV. They Kept her for two nights to monitor her. She wasn't very bad but RSV is so scary in infants that we had to make sure it didn't get worse. We kept her under a humidifier and she had an IV with an antibiotic and some pedialite to keep her hydrated. Her poor arm was pretty much in a splint so that she wouldn't be able to rip the IV out. I have a picture on Jared's phone that I'll try to get on here. I have no idea how she got it or how I could have prevented it. I keep thinking of all the things I might have done better but the only thing I could have done is put her in a bubble. Everyone is sick sometime during the winter and there is nothing I can do. I probable gave it to her. No matter how much we wash our hands and sanitize it still isn't enough. She does need to get some illness to build up her immune system but it's just tough to watch. She is so much better now, smiling and happy. I hope that she can make it through the winter with only mild illnesses.

Sarah

(This is the only picture of sarah I have on this computer)

Happy Late Birthday Sarah!!

Yesterday was Sarah's birthday, and as usually I'm full of good intentions. I meant to blog about her, I meant to give her a present and I meant to call her first thing in the morning...at least she got the e-card I sent her last week. I wish I could blame it on the pregnancy but, I can't.

So anyways, my favorite sister that is 3 years older had her birthday!! Here are some things that I love about her.

*Sarah can make me laugh so hard I cry. She is sarcastic and can make almost anything funny...By the way, "here's your cake Sarah, blow it out!"

* She Is the hardest working person I know, last year she had 3 jobs and took care of her 2 kids.

*She is a great mom and is so involved with her kids activities, she now teaches twice a month with Marcus's play school group.

* Growing up she was always there for me when I was going through hard choices and she never judged me, I will always go to her for advice.

* She loves my little girl and I know will always take good care of her

* She plays the piano so beautifully, I love Sunday's at my mom's and listing to her practice. It's so calming and brings the spirit into the home.

I love you Sarah!!

Halloweenies!

This was Tatum's first Halloween and it went great! She was a Denver Bronco Cheerleader. I didn't want to buy a costume and she had the outfit from grandma Heather for all the games and so I thought it would be a good time to be a cheerleader. We had pumpkin stew that Sarah and Elisa made, with spider bread. Then we went to Great grandma and papa Tatton's house. Then we hung out at my mom's house while the other cousins went trick-or-treating. They were all so cute! Jared had to work so that was a bummer. I love Halloween but I didn't have enough energy this year to get all dressed up or anything. Next year I will.

I love Hand-me-down clothes!

So, I love that all my sisters and sister-in-law have girls and they have good tastes in clothes. Today I put Tatum in an outfit that use to be Clair's, Tatum is 2 weeks old and I wonder how many months Clair was when she wore it. (let me know Kelly) I think it's so cute, plus it's Gymboree and I didn't spend a dime! Thanks again Kelly!! So here are some pictures of the cutest 'lil luv bug and a darling outfit, my favorite part of it is the puppy faces on the socks!

Amanda made Tatum a bunch of cute head bands. So even if she doesn't ever have hair I can still doll her up a bit.

Here are some pictures of family holding Tatum

This is Great-Papa Fred and Great-Grandma Rea ( Jared's grandparents)

This is Shark Boy, I think he might eat her! ( Marcus in one of Halloween costumes)

Grandma, she loves to tickle her and wake her up!

Papa, he on the other hand can have any baby, kid or anyone asleep in no time, he's so calming and makes you instantly relax.

Advice Please!!

Anyone Know how to get poopy stains out of Tatum's cute clothes?? There has only been a couple of blowouts, but I know there will be more!! So any adive for this first time mom would be appreciated!! Tatum is doing well and her arm is healing fast! She now reaches it straight up over her head when she streaches. We've had it wrapped up all the time so I wouldn't be suprised if she is left handed, Jared would like that. He says it's better to be a left handed pitcher and batter. We'll see what she actually does, I just want her to play the piano, like her aunt Sarah and uncle Erik. Well if you have any tips I'd love to hear them!!

Another on Bites the Dust!

And so one more tree bites the dust! The beloved Apple Tree!! No more apples, so sad! But there will always be grapes! I know your wondering what we're doing with this place, but it has to be done. Next summer we have to fix the wiring to the house, hopefully it won't start on fire this winter. The wires are scary and they were running right through the apple tree branches. Once again I don't have a before picture, I didn't know they were cutting it down but here are the sad pictures of Jared doing it.
SO SAD!

So Long, Farewell!

So, if you've read Sarah's blog then you know about the picture of my grandma's house and the question is...what's missing? The huge old Pine Tree!! SO SAD! Did you know that Jared's dad planted that tree and did all the landscaping for my grandma and grandpa? Yup, he worked for Mr. Frandsen. Well, the tree was dead and we had to take it down, Helan Matthis was afraid that it would land on her house, but it didn't. Here are the pictures of them cutting it down, I don't have a before so sorry.

We also have an awesome Halloween decoration! A BAT! Jared found it while he was tilling the garden. They are kinda cute, but GROSS!

My Beautiful Love Bug

I just wanted to do a quick post to say thank you to my wonderful family for being so supportive and amazing the last 3 days. Thank you Sarah for the great pics and posts, they have been so fun to read and really make me feel loved, and thanks for cleaning. Thank you to Elisa for all the calls and advice on everything baby, It's so nice to get "thinking of you" calls. Thanks to Kelly and my mom for the food and thanks to all who came and visited me at the hospital. And thanks for all who commented Sarah and Elisa's blogs. And a special thank you to My Mom for being so wonderful everyday. Things would be a lot harder without her. She was so great at the hospital, made sure everything was done right. She helped me feel so comfortable and taken care of. I love her so much and hope to be able to be half the mom to Tatum as she to me. Now it's time to tell you all about my wonderful hubby.
Jared has been more than I could have ever needed. He has been so great to take care for me and Tatum. You'd think he'd be this tuff guy and be a rough around the edges but he is a push over! I love him! He Did everything a husband should do in the the delivery room. But I do feel bad that he couldn't do all the breathing exercises and focusing techniques. My labor was really fast and I must have a high tolerance for pain because even before the epidural, the contractions were not that bad. Every once in awhile he would rub my ear or had just to give him something to do, I love it! He has stayed awake at night, slept on a crappy cot in the hospital and changed way more stinky gross diapers than I have. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband! I don't know what I'll do when he goes back to work. I can't believe how much I love my Little Love Bug! She is so sweet and I hate to see her cry! She doesn't like having her diaper changed and the other night her cry made me so sad I cried with her. I know that there will be many more! I am so happy she is healthy and healing well. We love our little Love Bug and I can't wait for all the exciting things she will bring into out lives. Thank you all for your love and support!!
I can't believe I'm a MOM!!

So now I'm having trouble uploading my pics and formatting them so you get the idea, Sarah has good ones on her blog, I need to go to bed so maybe I'll fix this later!

The Pics of my busy summer!

So, I finally have everything hooked up to the computer and can now blog about all that I've been working on. It's been a busy summer which has made this pregnancy go really fast! I think I'll miss being pregnant and I'll definitely miss trying to figure out if that's a foot or a knee or her bum poking out of my belly. It's been so great! But I can't wait for her to be in the cute little swing in my front room instead of it just sitting there. I can't wait for her to actually wear all the close sitting in her closet. I'm so excited for her to come!
Well, here are the Pics of the studio. I still do not have mirrors but I'll get them in soon. It was hard work and I couldn't really help in the hard stuff. Thanks to my Mom Dad and Jared I finally got what I've been wishing for my whole life! My own Studio!! Sing Edge made the signs, The one on the top is temporary until I can make enough money for a light up marquee. There expensive so I have just a banner right now and then I can use the banner for parades and things. Hopefully we can stucco the outside and fix that up
over the next couple of years also. I Love my studio!
The Nursery has been fun to put together. I still have some last minute things to put together but I love how it turned out. Can you believe that we use to eat in that room? I use to think it was a lot bigger when I was little. I decided decorate the baby's room with this set only because I love ladybugs and I just fell in love with it! I thought about pink and chocolate and lots of other colors, but she is just my little love bug so this is it.

Wow, time flyes!

So, it's been awhile since my last post. I've been so consumed by a few things that blogging has been put on the back burner. First of all we moved our office downstairs so we can use the upstairs for the baby's room and we haven't hooked up all the attachments to the computer so there will not be any pics for awhile. That's a bummer cause I have some great pics of the nursery and the studio. Those are the main things that have been taking up most of my time. I've painted the nursery and bought baby furniture and I still need to put up decorations. The studio has taken up a ton of time because we had to gut the building I'm in. It use to be an old convenient store and it hadn't been updated for like 80 years!!! There wasn't a bathroom, and it was so grungy and grimy. The little old man that ran the store was so cute and he just retired. His name is Guido and I think he just turned 81. I use to think he was my grandpa because we would go over there to get "free Candy" later I found out he was just billing my dad. So we've been working on passing inspection after inspection so that I can start teaching on MONDAY!!! I'm still not ready! Thanks to my mom, dad, Sarah and my wonderful husband the building is ready. My mom and dad spent the longest nights down there painting and fixing things. I don't know if they'll ever know how much I appreciate them! I've been racking my brain on how to show them or what to do for them but I feel like it'll never be enough. I know I just have to make sure to be successful so that their efforts will not be wasted. Sarah, was wonderful because she always had dinner ready for my parents and kept the house clean so my mom wouldn't have to worry about it. Erik's help has been good and Jared is just amazing and can do almost anything! He built me the cutest rosin box in the floor so that it would be concealed and out of the way. Oh, I love my floor! People walking by are always asking about it and wondering why it's being waisted in a dance studio. It makes me laugh. Jared's family has been so helpful also, they came and helped build the sub floor and laid the wood floor down. Without them I would be dancing on gross cement! Jared's brother Tyler has been way good to come and help out, I'm so glad he and Amanda live here. I'm just so grateful for all the help.

So, Classes started today and they went really great!! I wasn't able to take any pics but hopefully Sarah will tomorrow. The studio was great! So I'll hurry and post this so it won't get anymore outdated. Thank you to all who worked so hard at the studio for me, I really do appreciate it!!

Worse than Chapstick in the laundry!

What is worse than chapstick going through the washer? A Cell phone. A cell phone going through the laundry, getting ran over, getting lost, not being able to be charged anymore....what else? I received my first cell phone I think my senior year of high school, since then I have only had three phones. I only get a new one when I have a free upgrade. Jared on the other hand had gone through 5 or 6 phones in the last 2 and half years alone! One was my fault (sort of) I washed it. One was ran over, one lost, one couldn't be recharged and I can't remember the rest. I just don't know how unlucky someone can be! I have dropped my in the toilet and it still works!! (I was not using the toilet at the time, just remember the upstairs bathroom at grandmas and you can guess what happened) So, right now we are using an old phone of Kelly's until Jared's upgrade next month. What a pain! Sometimes I think it would be better to have a land line, we get so use the the convenience of cell phones that when something happens we are completely lost! We loose all the information that was in our phones and struggle. I think I will have a little book with all my cell information so that even if I don't have a cell, I have the information.

Time to Prepare

Well, it's time for me to start preparing for next year's dance season and this means coming up with ideas...So, Kristi, I'm counting on you. And all others:) I am thinking about "Dancing Through Life" and then using the song from Wicked as the finale or Encore for next dance concert. (thanks Elisa) I was also thinking that I could use a song about an Encore or titled Encore or something but I can't seem to find an appropriate one to use. If any one has any ideas please let me know. Also I need to update my studio blog and make it more creative. Does anyone know how to put songs on it? I'm just not computer savvy. I also am not sure if I like my logo...any ideas?
Now for an update. I've been watching Madison and Marcus every other day this month and I get to take Marcus to swim lessons so here is a few pictures of him learning about Life jacket safety.

My Princess Ballerina!

So, this happened before the cruise but I'm just posting it. Jared and I went to the Hospital a few Fridays ago and found out that we are have a cut little Twinkle-Toes Girl!! Yea!! I'm so excited. Jared is totally happy and says she's grounded. She is going to have him wrapped around her finger! You should see him with his nieces. Such a push over!! I'm so excited to go shopping!! We already bought a cute Mexican dress from Ensanda on the Cruise and some cute clothes from a Gap Outlet in California. Jared's mom and my mom have already made the cutest baby quilts! Now for a crib! I fell in love with is black crib from Baby's-R-Us but I'm torn between pink and brown or pink and red with ladybugs for the nursery. Can't decide, if anyone has cute ideas let me know. All girl cousins are to save all cute clothes, dance shoes and leotards! I know how much you all fork out for dance stuff! Hand-me-downs are wonderful! Here are the Ultra Sound pic, if you can tell whats goingon. I can't except for the one of the cute dancing foot.

Jared and I just got home from our cruise. We went on a Royal Caribbean Cruise. Our ship was called Monarch of the Seas. We left from L.A, went to San Diego, Catalina Island, Ensanda and then back to L.A. It was a blast! There was so much to do on the ship and so much to eat!! We went with some of Jared's buddies and their wives. Jared and the boys, gambled, played basketball, shuffle board and went rock climbing. Us girls played ping pong, laid out and laughed at our silly husbands.
I had to get a picture of Jen and Weston in their Life Jackets. The guys thought that the "Munster Drill" was hilarious! Jared kept saying Munster the whole time, apparently the word is funny. We were all crowded in this room and this girl across from me passed out. Entertaining.

Catalina was my favorite. We went mini golfing and shopped around and rented golf carts to drive around and explore. The island had been on fire the week before, so it was pretty burnt, but still beautiful! I can't imagine how pretty it would be green. Jared drove our golf cart and it was like touring the place during a NASCAR race. He has to be in front, going so fast and being crazy!! We did have fun, but next time I think I'll drive!
Next we went to Ensanda Mexico. What a dirty place. It was fun shopping at all the shops, but the little kids chasing you around to buy their Chiclets!! Crazy! We didn't buy any. We did buy some fake name brand sunglasses, a chair hammock and a little Mexican dress for Tatumn. ( Oh, ya, I'm having a ballerina princess!!)This is Jen in a Nacho Librae Mask. They were selling these all over the place. I almost bought one for Erik.
This is the monkey that greeted us one night. Our Stateroom guy was really good and making all the cute animals out of towels. And I loved the chocolate on the pillows. Oh ya, the shows on the ship were so fun! We went to a newlywed game and laughed so hard! Jared and I totally would have won!! We also saw a dueling pianos show which was great, a comedian and dancers. I totally could be a dancer on a Cruise ship. Just Kidding, I loved all the shows and they even had a midnight chocolate buffet one night!! So much chocolate!! We had a blast and I'm so glade Jared got to hang out with his buddies, I'm also glad they married awesome wives for me to hang out with. I loved it!!

Spring Concert

I did it, my first ever dance recital. It was so different to be back stage and in charge of everything than it was to be a dancer on the stage. My girls were amazing! I'm so proud of them! Not one major mistake or mishap. I am also so proud of all of my volunteers! They were amazing and the reason the show went so well. I am not very good at letting go of assignments and trusting people to do what I need them to do, but these guys did wonderful! Not one little girl cried and no one missed there dance! It was so nice to just be backstage and watch from the sidelines and relax. It was nice. My lighting and sound technicians were so great and I hope I can have them back again next year. I just can't believe how smoothly it all went. I'm so blessed, I guess I know it's what I'm suppose to do. I always say there is a time and season for everything, and I think this is my time. I just hope I can do all this and be a good mom. I know Jared will always be there for me. Elisa has the pics from the recital so check out her blog. These are Pictures of my Elite Ballet Company, Jr. Elite Company, Jr. Elite Ballet Company, and Elite Company.
